Recommended 7 years + (younger children will need an adult actively assisting them) KNOT NINJAS This is a 7 level beginners series of workshops in which youth can work to gain their ‘KNOT NINJA’ award with a very experienced Scout, Kayd. Kayd will demonstrate a different Knot each week talking about its uses along with a game or activity youth can participate in. Youth will practice and learn the 7 basic knots in the program at their own pace. Attend every week or whenever you feel like it. Youth will be given material they can take home to practice with and record their achievements in their Knot Ninja chart. Once youth pass ‘black level’ they achieve their Knot Ninja title and will be awarded a trophy! Knots Covered: Squareknot Sheetbend Bowline Two Half Hitches Tautline Hitch Clove Hitch Basic Lashings ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ KNOT MASTERS have passed their Knot Ninja program and work on an advanced knot and applying it to a practical purpose via challenges. Anything from building a camping sink to a catapult! Knot Masters also share their skills and assist Knot Ninjas with their training. Knot Masters get a sheet each week to put in a folder so they can keep practicing and building with knots at home. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CLEAN UP WORKSHOP: This is an end of day workshop designed to keep the youth busy while we work together to tidy up the venue.
